Sadad is a town in Syria, 60 kilometers (37 mi) south of Homs, and 101 kilometers (63 mi) northeast of Damascus. There are more than 10,000 people in the village. Sadad is well known for her fourteen churches. The history of its churches goes back to the old Aramaic heritage. Sadad is a very old town in Syria, dates back to 2000 BC. The name Sadad appears twice in the Old Testament.
